Holly Evans grew up in England and Scotland before moving to Texas.  She has a BA in Animation and Games from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she developed a passion for stop-motion and fabrication through creating short films. Her practice focuses on creating handcrafted characters and environments using materials such as wool, felt, and yarn to combine traditional craft techniques with animation. Her work often draws on folklore, family history, and her English–Icelandic heritage, exploring themes of memory, identity, and connection to place.

 

Her work has been screened at international film festivals and has received recognition through two awards. Holly’s skills include animation, 3D modeling, sewing, and sculpture. She is dedicated to continuing her work by crafting unique animations and creations that reflect and explore both her cultural and creative background.​
